Brand Strategy

Each February, Subaru partners with a national nonprofit through Subaru Loves to Help to support children experiencing homelessness. In 2024, we partnered with Operation Warm to provide brand-new coats, shoes, and socks to children across the country. But we wanted the experience to be about more than simply receiving necessities. We transformed retailer events into personalized pop-up shops where kids could browse racks, pick out their own clothes, get fitted one-on-one by volunteers, and even write their names inside their new jackets. Every detail was designed to make the experience feel personal, celebratory, and, most importantly, theirs. Once they had their new gear, the kids got to do what kids do best: put it to the test. Retailers created playful activities in their communities, turning a day about giving into a day about getting outside, having fun, and making memories. Hundreds of events came to life across the country, providing more than 150,000 children with brand-new essentials and turning a simple donation into a moment they could truly call their own. It's just one of the reasons Subaru was ranked #2 on Forbes Best Brands for Social Impact 2024.
